Q. What is Care52?

Care52 is a discovery platform to help users find the best care provider including doctors, urgent care and ER’s. Care52 helps you book same-day doctor appointments, even if it’s outside of business hours or in a new, unfamiliar city. Care52 eliminates the hassle of going to urgent care by helping you skip waiting rooms, verifying insurance coverage, and allowing you to view prices for common health issues. We believe that everyday healthcare should be simple, costs should be transparent, and that patients deserve a great experience from start to finish.

Q. What types of medical issues can Care52 help with?

Care52 can help you find an appointment for health issues that don’t require a visit to the ER, but can’t wait until tomorrow. Common illnesses (sore throats, coughs, and ear pain), non-serious urgent conditions (fever, diarrhea, and vomiting), and other non-emergent issues that require medical attention (burns & cuts, sprains & strains, and broken bones) can be treated at the majority of our clinics. We do not currently offer appointments at mental health, primary care, or dental facilities. Please refer to when to call 911 if you think you might have a medical emergency.

Q. What can I expect when I arrive at the clinic?

Most patients are in and out within an hour of arriving to their Care52 appointment. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure enough time for check-in, including filling out any paperwork and submitting your insurance. As soon as the medical staff is ready to see you, the front desk will call you back to an exam room. Although our clinics do their best to see patients when they are scheduled, medical emergencies and visits that require more time than anticipated may cause delays.

Q. How much will my visit cost?

Urgent care visit costs are often similar to the cost of going to your doctor’s office. The price you pay for your visit will depend on the type of insurance you have, if you’ve met your deductible, and the cost of your copay. Copays often range from $20 – $75. Higher deductible plans may require you to pay for additional services until you reach your deductible. If you’re planning to pay out of pocket, Care52 provides estimates on expected costs so there are no financial surprises.

Q. Is there a fee for using Care52?

No, it is free for you to use Care52 to book an appointment. Patients are responsible for the charges associated with the services they receive during their visit.

Q. Can I request to be seen by a certain doctor at the clinic?

Unfortunately, you cannot request to see a specific doctor or medical provider at this time.
Q. What kind of medical providers will I see?
All of our clinics have overseeing physicians who are often trained and board certified in emergency medicine. Depending on the nature of the visit, you may be seen by experienced nurse practitioners, physician or medical assistants, or board-certified doctors. At pediatric specialty clinics, all medical staff are specifically trained and practiced in providing care to kids.

Q. Can Care52 give me medical advice?

Care52 does not provide medical care or advice. We match you to the best medical provider who can treat your issue. If you’re unsure about making an appointment.

Q. I booked an appointment. How do I view the details?

You should refer to your Care52 Pass, which is in the confirmation email we sent to you when you booked an appointment. This includes date and time of the appointment and the address of the clinic. You can also get driving directions or add the appointment to your calendar from the email.

Q. How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

When you schedule a doctor’s visit with Care52, you’ll receive a confirmation email with visit details. To cancel an appointment, open that email and click on ‘Cancel my visit’. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please email hello@care52.com or text RESCHEDULE to 212-858-9268.

Q. What are the search criteria?

Users can search by specialty, name, procedure or condition. These can be further sorted by location, distance and the top 20% or top 5% of the doctors. Doctors doing certain procedures can also be sorted by those doing the highest volume as reported by Medicare.

Q. Can you search for doctors by conditions and procedures?

Yes, tab over to the condition (procedure) tab and choose any of conditions (or procedures) listed. Doctors corresponding to the selection will be displayed.

Users can also choose to show more about each condition. This information is syndicated from UK National Health services a reliable source of medical information.

Q. How many doctors are displayed?

Only 10 doctors are shown to users not logged in. Also the top 5% of the providers are only shown to subscribers.

Q. Is the subscription refundable?

Yes, if you do not find the data useful, please drop a line with a reasonable explanation and we will refund your deposit.

Q. What additional services can users search for?

Users can search for dentists, urgent care and Emergency rooms. This is in addition to doctors of various specialties including dietitians, chiropractors, naturopaths, homeopaths, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, etc.

Q. How are ER’s listed?

ER's are listed by distance and wait times. Users can also choose to sort ER's by 12 other parameters such as the quality of care for heart attacks and stroke. ER'’s with best heart care are sorted by those with the shortest PCI time. For stroke the number of patients with ischemic stroke receiving medicine to break up a blood clot within 3 hours after symptoms started. Higher percentages are better.

Q. What is PCI?

PCI or percutaneous coronary intervention involves opening up a blocked artery. The target 'door to balloon time' is 90 minutes. Hospitals with the highest target rates listed as the best for "heart attack" care.

Q. What is book an appointment.

Our goal is to help anyone make an appointment online with any doctor in US. That means that the calendar availabilities are not real time and require a follow up phone call. Select Doctor (follow Question no 1) , view Doctor profile - select date and time from To request appointment pick a time.
  1. Reason for Appointment- Enter Reason for Consultation and Brief Description field and click on Next button
  2. Patient details-

    2.1. Self Appointment- User details are prepopulated in the fields and they are disabled. Enter SSN and click Next button. Move to confirm details page.

    2.2. Someone else appointment- Enter all the fields and click on next button. Move to confirm details page.

  3. Confirm details- User can edit the details, Enter a note and attach medical docs, Radiology docs and verify insurances and click on Complete request button.
  4. Appointment created successfully with Request ID

Q. How User can contact to Providers?

Through Email, Text message, FAX.

Q. Where can be checked all the appointments?

Go to user logged in Icon on right top most corners, Click on Appointment to see all the upcoming and past appointments.

Q. How to see all the messages and profile?

Q. Can I see Top Expert doctors ?

No, to see top doctors, pay first time login fee $9.99 for 6 hours or monthly subscription of $39.99. Fully refundable.

Q. How to Pay for top doctors?

Login in PayPal with valid credential or with debit and credit card and done payment.

Q. How to check Bookmark Doctor, Urgent care, Emergency Room and Dentist?

Click on viewed/saved checkbox to view Added bookmark.

Q. How can be share doctor information?

In Doctor profile page- Share icon is available- Click on it- Share by LinkedIn, share by email and share by URL options are present to share doctor info.

Q. How do I come to know which doctor to select?

Select according to your problems. Check doctors experience, Educational details and reviews from other patients helps to select the best doctor for your problems.

Q. How to cancel and reschedule the appointment after booking an appointment in Care52?

Cancel appointment- Go to Appointment page- click on Cancel button- successfully cancelled.
Reschedule will only be at doctor's end. Patient can discuss with Provider over the call or email and provider can reschedule that.

Q. How to reset the password, if i forgot my password?

  • Just click on Forgot password
  • it will ask for registered Email or phone number
  • Select any one of the option and reset it.

Q. Is it mandatory to show Appointment request ID while visiting to a doctor, Urgent care, Emergency Room and Dentist?

It is not mandatory to show Request ID. Just show the confirmation SMS and Email while visiting them. These are the proof of confirmation which helps to assist faster.

Q. What is the benefit of booking an appointment with a doctor through Care52?.

There is no such benefit. Simply it becomes easy to book appointment online. No need to visit to the doctor personally for Appointment purpose.

Q. If some of the Doctors, Urgent care , Emergency Room and dentist are not listed in Care52, what to do for this?

Q. How do I register in Care52?

  • Visit to Care52 site and click on sign up button
  • Pop up opens for sign up
  • Enter Email Address, full name and click on sign up
  • It will ask for phone number
  • Select country code and enter mobile number
  • It will ask how should we send the code through Voice call or text message- select one of the option
  • Will receive verification code Use that verification code
  • Verified it and successfully registered.

Q. Is it necessary to show send link to any phone link twice in Care52 home page?

No, because enter phone number and click on send link to any phone button will send same link on the number for both the links.

Q. Can I book more than one Appointment with single doctor?

Yes, this can be done. We don't prevent you to book multiple appointments for self or different patient for the same date or different date.

Q. Do I need to pay for booking appointment?

No. Booking online appointment is absolutely free. You need to pay doctor consulting fee at the time of consultation.

Q. What is the time period for which I can book an appointment in advanced?

Totally depends on his / her Availability and time slot on given date and time.

Q. Will my rating and review of my doctor’s visit be shared with the doctor or clinic?

Your feedback will be shared with the clinic in an effort to improve the experience of future patients. In order to protect your privacy, we do not advise sharing any medical information over text.

Q. After my visit, will you notify me about test results or when my prescription is ready?

For updates about your test results or prescriptions, please contact the clinic you visited directly.

Q. How Doctor can get notification of the appointment?

Through Email, Text message, FAX.
